Miguel receives 1-0 in Round Robin stats, Adier withdraws from the event
Miguel opens his start to the WSC Year-End Event on the opening day with a victory. He played in his opening Round Robin to Adier in reasonable fashion.
Players were in attendance as Miguel breezed through Adier’s striking shots with a rocky first set. Being 5-3 down, and returning the favor to his side, forcing a deuce in the process after a 6-5 missed opportunity to win the set point quickly. Returning to score the winning set point, Miguel was in total control.
Miguel quickly claimed the second set and the match away from Adier after showing a slippery performance, turned into 100% dominance. He sought to seal the match in straight sets at 7-6, 7-0 for his first Round Robin victory. In ensuring he won the match, he now holds a 1-0 result in his favor. The result sheet is down below.

Miguel will be set to play either Surrey (over the weekend) or S. Gameboy next to see if he can find some more points in his next two Round Robin matches.
As for Adier, he tried to get a grip with the controller but it surely let him down, but he is walking away, learning that he was able to share the court with Miguel in a friendly way.
The sad news with that in mind, is that Adier had ultimately decided to have withdrawn from the event after his first round match due to a lack of motivation to keep going.
He will be replaced with first Alternate Jack, to take his spot for the other two matches he would have been due to play, Surrey and S. Gameboy. Should the alternate move on, he should expect an outcome that would let him into the final four.
Amazing play so far, we’ll see how this catches up to the next set of matches this weekend!
