S. Gameboy Moves Into Semifinals After Surrey Retires, also Eliminates Jack

S. Gameboy credited with victory, ultimately moves into Semifinals.

A dramatic turn decides our Semifinals. They will go underway during the start of the new week. We are getting closer to the Final match of the Year. In the last group stage match, it had ended quickly. Surrey was forced to retire, being a set point down in the first set against S. Gameboy, all due to personal problems he was facing. It was then that Gameboy would be credited with the final win in the group stages. We can now ultimately proceed to the semifinals.

By winning the match and securing the semifinals, he eliminated Jack who was also in contention of the SF spot but Gameboy had better results in the end. Despite the impressive wins, Gameboy came upfront as the retirement counted towards a straight sets victory. Jack dropped one set overall during his alternate run in the Group Stage while Gameboy and Miguel dropped none while they won, therefore, Jack was sent packing after results were determined by the sets.

While Surrey can keep his head up high, he truly fought hard against the matches he played. Let’s be honest, he was playing to the best of his ability and that the match we saw against Jack was also worthy of a comeback. Jack can also be proud of the result as well, he picked up two wins against Gameboy and Surrey after Adier withdrew from the tournament. Great result in the end to go home with. Now the final four is set.

Gameboy has successfully taken the final semifinal spot and will play against Top Seed, Mr B.F.F in the semifinals. He can merely compare the match against Jack with all the positive and negative aspects and take out the bad in the match against the Canadian. If S. Gameboy wins, he will beat the undefeated player and will remove the No. 1 spot that Mr B.F.F holds on the leaderboard based on ranking points being awarded.

Quintin will also play against Miguel for the Finals as well. If Quintin and S. Gameboy take semifinal victories, they will set up an All-Wisconsin final and the fight for the WSC No. 1 Ranking. A semifinal victory is worth 400 ranking points. If Mr B.F.F wins it all, he will retain the top ranking and finish with a Year-End Event crown. Miguel is also looking to reach a 1st final in the event as well. A poll will be posted soon that can also drastically change the course of the event’s final.

We’ll keep you posted. Stay tuned, everyone.
